Reese has been actively engaged in the commercial real
estate business since 1972, and has acted as a principal
in transactions valued in the billions of dollars. Mr.
Reese has developed, acquired and managed assets, which
span the spectrum of commercial real estate: from hotels
and condominiums to retail centers, warehouses office
buildings and land development.
Today he focuses his efforts on environmentally sustainable,
socially responsible and financially viable projects.
These efforts include aggressively managing, up-cycling
and growing a sizable retail portfolio which includes
such tenants as Lowe’s, Target, Kohl’s,
Belk, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Sears, Penney’s,
Kroger, and a myriad of others: and on the development
of age-inclusive, environmentally sustainable, multi-generational
communities in California,Colorado, Texas and Florida.
Current or frequent builder participants and partners
include many of the nation’s top national and
regional home builders, among which are Centex, Lennar,
Newmark, David Weekly, First Texas, Legacy, Village,
Meritage, D. R.Horton, Ryland and Pulte Homes.
Mr. Reese is also passionate about urban redevelopment,
the life of cities and what makes cities work.
A significant amount of Mr. Reese’s energy and
interest is focused on developing an environmentally
sensitive 1500 acre ocean front resort community in
Costa Rica.
Mr. Reese has been married to Susan for 30 years, and
they have three delightful, grown children. Mr. Reese
graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 1971
with concentrations in Philosophy and Creative Writing.
His interests include environmental and educational
causes in which he is increasingly active, writing,
music, snowshoeing, film, fiction, the outdoors and
most importantly, family, friends and fly-fishing.
